PENTAGRAM actively participated in the “National Health Tour – 2025” organized by CODE HEALTH TV

Doctors from the Specialized Eye Clinic PENTAGRAM took active part in “National Health Tour – 2025“, organized by the only specialized health television CODE HEALTH TV. The aim of the initiative is to bring health care outside hospital facilities – closer to people, in parks, outdoors. It included free examinations, consultations, and outdoor tests at 13 locations across Bulgaria.

Dr. Marina Hubanova, a resident in ophthalmology at the Specialized Eye Clinic PENTAGRAM, participated in the free examinations in Plovdiv, which took place with great interest on July 10th and 11th in front of the Military Club in the city. “The most frequent patients who visited us today were those with cataracts, which is a normal finding among older people. However, there were also younger patients with this diagnosis due to taking corticosteroids. Corticosteroids are one of the causes of so-called drug-induced cataracts. We referred these people for surgical intervention, which we perform daily in our clinic and which can greatly alleviate their condition,” Dr. Hubanova explained. She shared her belief that prevention is the best treatment and that it yields excellent long-term results.

The ophthalmology resident at the Specialized Eye Clinic PENTAGRAM Dr. Kristiyan Stefanov participated in the free screening in Karlovo, which took place on July 26th and 27th, 2025. He explained that most of the people who sought consultation with him had reduced vision, eye redness, and eye dryness. They were referred for a more in-depth examination in Sofia, where their issues would be identified. The clinic is equipped with the most advanced equipment for the treatment and diagnosis of eye diseases and is one of the leading centers in the country for treating cataracts, glaucoma, and dry eyes. Dr. Stefanov revealed that among his patients, there were some who had not visited an ophthalmologist for more than 5-6 years, which is unacceptable.
