Easy Eye Exercises to Fight Screen Fatigue

EYE CIRCLES

A great way to train your eye muscles. Be warned that these exercises may feel very tiring for some of you, but this indicates that you are doing them correctly. Stand in a comfortable position with your eyes open. Start making large, imaginary circles with your eyes, alternating directions—clockwise and counterclockwise—while keeping your body still. Perform 20 circles in one direction and another 20 in the opposite direction. Rest for 10 seconds, during which you can close your eyes. Then repeat the exercise again.

COVERING ONE EYE

This exercise will help you train the muscles of each eye individually. Cover one eye with your hand. With the other, focus on an object for 30 seconds. Then close the ‘working’ eye for a few seconds and repeat the exercise two more times. Do the same with the other eye.

“SIT-UPS” FOR EYES

Just as some of you do sit-ups to keep your abdominal muscles in shape, you can do the same for your eyes. Sit in an upright position where you feel comfortable. Focus on a point at the other end of the room and squint your eyes. Hold for four seconds. Blink several times. Rest for 5 seconds and repeat again. The goal is to do 5 repetitions.
