With a solemn blessing by Metropolitan Grigoriy, the new building of the eye clinic and medical center “PENTAGRAM” was inaugurated

The new building of the eye clinic and MC “PENTAGRAM” was inaugurated on June 28, 2025 (Saturday) with a solemn blessing ceremony conducted by His Eminence Gregory, the Metropolitan of Vratsa.

The ribbon was cut by the manager and founder of the eye hospital Dr. Vesselin Daskalov and his wife Dr. Konstantsa Tosheva, who leads one of the largest departments in MC “PENTAGRAM” – “PENTAGRAM Women’s Health”.

Guests at the elegant celebration enjoyed performances by opera diva Gergana Nikolaeva and the ClassicArt string quartet. The renowned opera singer performed “Ave Maria” by Bach/Gounod and the aria “Habanera” from the opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet. The string quartet delighted the attendees with works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johann Strauss, George Gershwin, as well as famous chamber masterpieces and evergreens.

Dermatologist Dr. Dimitar Ninov, who participated in the founding of the medical center 13 years ago, surprised the guests with a flawless rendition of “Mnogaya Leta”.

“The construction of this new, modern building is a dream come true for me,” admitted Dr. Daskalov during the ceremony. He shared that the idea for it arose about 10 years ago when he saw that the old one had become too small for his ambitious team. He thanked his colleagues, who have been by his side unwaveringly over the past 13 years, as well as his family for their support and inspiration. Present at the party were Dr. Daskalov’s son – Teodor, who is confidently following in his footsteps, and his daughter – Dr. Tsvetina Daskalova, who recently graduated as an obstetrician-gynecologist.

The ceremony was hosted by journalist Niki Kunchev, who shared that, apart from professional impressions, he also has personal observations of the work of the “PENTAGRAM” eye clinic and specifically of Dr. Daskalov, who a few years ago restored his mother’s vision.

Immediately after the official opening, Dr. Daskalov personally showed guests the various departments in the new building of the “PENTAGRAM” eye clinic and medical center. It is a 6-story building with a total built-up area of 3000 sq m. It offers comprehensive eye health care – from precise diagnostics with the latest generation equipment to effective conservative, surgical, and laser treatment for various eye conditions.

It features a modern operating block with four operating rooms, an anesthesiology office, a room for preoperative preparation, and postoperative recovery.

The specialized diagnostic and functional offices are equipped with the latest generation equipment, allowing precise diagnosis and treatment of accommodative disorders, cataracts, glaucoma, retinal detachment, intraocular hemorrhages, and foreign bodies in the eye.

The clinic has eye offices with separate equipment rooms for OST, YAG, and ALC lasers, perimetry, and fluorescein angiography and angiography.

In the medical center attached to the clinic, there are offices for Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Endocrinology and Cardiology. The hospital has a well-equipped private laboratory.

For patients, there will also be an underground parking lot. A first-aid consultation room is set to be opened on the ground floor as well.
