Pentagram Eye Hospital Announces Free Ophthalmological Examinations on July 4 and 5, 2025

Free ophthalmological examinations will be conducted on July 4 and 5, 2025 (Friday and Saturday) at the new building* of the eye clinic and medical center ‘PENTAGRAM’.

On Friday, the examinations will be from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

On Saturday – from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Advance scheduling is required by calling 0700 911 91.

The examinations will include:

• Visual acuity test
• Fundus examination
• Intraocular pressure measurement

*The address of the new building, located in close proximity to the old one, is 11 “Dimitar Petkov” Street.

If a problem is detected, patients will be referred for additional tests and treatment.

“Many serious eye conditions go unnoticed for a long time. Busy with work and daily obligations, people tell themselves ‘I must have increased my diopter’ and postpone visiting an ophthalmologist. By the time they go for an examination, the progression has already advanced, and our capabilities are limited,” explains the director of the eye clinic and medical center ‘PENTAGRAM’, Dr. Vesselin Daskalov. He explains that this time, the doctors intentionally decided to conduct the free examinations both on Friday and on Saturday, which is a day off for most patients. “This way, we will give more people the opportunity to take advantage and act in time,” he commented.

The new building of the eye clinic and medical center ‘PENTAGRAM’ will be officially opened on June 28, 2025 (Saturday). It is six stories high, with a total built-up area of 3,000 sq m. It features a modern operating block with four operating rooms, an anesthesiology office, a preoperative preparation room, and a postoperative recovery area.

The specialized diagnostic and functional offices are equipped with the latest generation of equipment, enabling precise diagnosis and treatment of accommodation disorders, cataracts, glaucoma, retinal detachment, intraocular hemorrhages, and foreign objects in the eye. The new complex is planned to include an emergency eye care office, which will soon be operational.

In the medical center affiliated with the clinic, there are offices for Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Endocrinology and Cardiology. The hospital has a well-equipped in-house laboratory.

There will also be an underground parking facility for patients.
